Risks of Using UV Glue-Based Screen Protectors

vivo cautioned against using UV glue-based tempered glass protectors, particularly for curved screens, due to the following potential risks:

  • Audio Interference: UV glue can block the speaker hole, resulting in reduced sound output or audio distortion.
  • Button Malfunction: Glue seepage may cause side buttons to stick or malfunction.
  • Air Bubbles: Improper application might allow glue to seep into sensitive areas, leading to noise interference or button faults.

  • SIM Tray Damage: Glue can seep into the SIM tray, causing it to become stuck and compromising water resistance by damaging the sealing ring.
  • Aesthetic and Material Damage: UV glue can damage the leather battery cover, resulting in bulging or peeling, and may also affect the camera frame, causing wrinkles or the peeling of paint.
