DESIGN

The vivo X Fold 5 redefines foldable elegance with its ultra-slim, lightweight chassis—measuring just 9.2 mm when folded and shrinking to 4.3 mm when opened, while weighing a mere 217 g. Its precision-engineered carbon‑fiber hinge enables flat folding, and the aerospace‑grade body boasts water, dust, and drop‑resistant durability.

DISPLAY

The vivo X Fold 5 features a stunning dual-display setup. The outer 6.53-inch AMOLED cover screen features FHD+ resolution with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support, making it ideal for quick tasks. Inside, the expansive 8.03-inch 1.5K+ LTPO AMOLED display delivers a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4500 nits brightness. Both screens are TÜV Rheinland certified, ensuring eye comfort, vibrant visuals, and a seamless experience whether folded or unfolded. I feel the Cover screen is also usable and doesnt seem thin and long like competitor brand.

This monochromatic choice ensures a refined look for Indian consumers and aligns with Vivo's premium positioning for its inaugural foldable launch.

DURABLITY

The vivo X Fold 5 is engineered for exceptional durability, addressing a key concern with foldable phones. Its ultra-light carbon fiber hinge is tested to withstand 500,000 folds, offering reliable performance for over a decade of daily use. The hinge design also ensures a nearly creaseless, gapless fold and supports multiple angles for flexible use.

Additionally, the phone features UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) for the inner display and reinforced aluminum alloy around the frame. While it doesn’t have an IP rating for water resistance, Vivo has included splash protection and improved dust shielding to boost real-world resilience.

IP RATING

The vivo X Fold 5 sets a new benchmark in foldable phone durability with industry-first IP5X, IPX8, and IPX9/IPX9+ ratings. This means it's protected against dust ingress, can withstand submersion in fresh water up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes, and even resists high-pressure hot water jets. Uniquely, it can be safely folded and unfolded underwater—something no other foldable currently offers. These certifications make it the most rugged foldable phone to date.

PRICING

The vivo X Fold 5 is available in a single configuration — 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage — priced at ₹1,49,999 in the Titanium Gray color variant.
