This is not my hometown, not the place where I grew up, studied, or worked. Still, this place ran straight into my heart. I came here with no expectations, and Hampi gave me something I didn’t know I needed.
I first visited in 2022, and today I am here again. You don’t know how many times I planned to come back but couldn’t. Yet, this is a place I never get tired of. I know I will run back to this place again and again.
Wherever you are in Hampi, just run to Hemakuta Hill for the sunset. It slows you down and fills you with peace.
Do not visit Hampi expecting aesthetics. This place runs deeper than that. It is culture, heritage, pride, calmness, and spirituality. While we run behind Western culture, this land makes people from the West run towards our roots.
I don’t usually write like this, but Hampi made me do it.
