Indian telecom operators Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea (Vi), and BSNL have begun trials of CNAP (Caller Name Presentation).
This native feature shows KYC-verified caller names directly on incoming calls, without needing third-party apps like Truecaller. The data is pulled straight from telecom databases, aiming to reduce spam and scam calls at the network level.
The rollout will be phased, with pan-India availability targeted by March 2026.
No apps. No permissions. Just cleaner, safer calls.
