Hello vivoice & vivoicers,
The nation's highest internet speeds, lowest latency, and most reliable connectivity are offered via 5G or fifth-generation technology. The India 5G spectrum auction procedure commenced on July 26, 2022, and concluded on August 1, following 40 bidding rounds over seven days. The largest-ever spectrum auction in India saw offers exceeding Rs 1.5 lakh crore after seven days of 40 rounds of bidding. The highest bidder, Reliance Jio, paid more than INR 880.78 billion for airwaves in the 700MHz, 800MHz, 1800MHz, 3500MHz, and 26GHz bands of 24.740GHz.
5G is being implemented in India in place of SA (Standalone Architecture) and NSA (Non-Standalone Architecture). The network is intended to be installed on top of the current 4G LTE network infrastructure when it has an NSA architecture. On the other hand, 5G standalone (SA) is a brand-new mobile network architecture that enables communication without relying on the current 4G infrastructure. Rather, 5G SA networks are constructed using 5G radio access network technology.
Using 900MHz, 1800MHz, 2100MHz, 3300MHz, and 26GHz, Airtel is the NSA.
JIO-SA Bands: 700MHz, 3500MHz, and 26GHz
What distinguishes it from 4G?
Maximum upload and download speeds for the fourth generation (4G) mobile network standard are 500 Mbps and 1 Gbps, respectively. With a latency of around 50 ms, this network is suitable for wearables, mobile TV, high-speed apps, and more. It is not as efficient as 5G, though.
The primary goals of the fifth generation (5G) are faster download and upload rates, improved multimedia experiences, and wireless connection. It will guarantee reduced latency of around 1 ms, enhanced robots and medical systems, and high-quality video streaming.
5G Use Cases and Applications
The world might be rebuilt thanks to many 5G applications and use cases. Applications for 5G include business support and device communication.
1. Services improved by connectivity akin to those of broadband
2. Making the most of the Internet of Things (IoT)
3. Better administration of the company
4. Superior video games and streaming
5. More detailed information about tracking locations.
5G wireless service types
1. Mobile 5G Services
2. Fixed wireless broadband access, or 5G FWA
Business news:
1. On August 7, 2023, Airtel introduced the first 5G FWA service in India.
2. The Department of Telecommunications (DOT) has mandated that Airtel and Jio fulfill their minimum rollout requirements for the 5G spectrum allocation guidelines.
3. Reliance Jio announced the launch of Jio Air Fiber services in eight major cities nationwide on the auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi. For those who are unaware, the company offers Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) through Jio Air Fiber, which is backed by True 5G service. Reliance Jio has set up a specific fifth-generation, or 5G, network slice for its 5G Fixed Wireless Access solution, according to company president Kiran Thomas. Static Wireless Access (FWA) is a type of wireless communication that provides high-speed internet access to fixed locations or buildings using wireless technology rather than traditional wired connections like copper lines or fiber optic cables. According to the statement, "Jio Air Fiber delivers fiber-like speed over the air without any wires," broadband over FWA devices does not require any installation or wiring. All you have to do is plug it in and turn it on. Now that your home is connected to extremely fast internet, you have your own Wi-Fi hotspot thanks to True 5G.
