Hello, beloved shutterbugs.
We love when we find beautiful captures that you share with us on vivoice and simultaneously we want to make sure that vivoice enhances your ability to capture moments. Today we are here to solve a very common photography issue “The art of capturing moving objects” and that too on your smartphone.
Let's find out!
Anticipate: Even when photographing moving objects, the composition is always a priority. Even if you capture movement, if you don't pay attention to where your subject is, you may end up with a bad crop.
Even if you're following your subject, keep an eye on your screen. Make sure they stay inside the screen and that their heads and arms aren't severed.
Shoot In Burst Mode: Timing is unquestionably important in sports photography. Even professionals can struggle to get their timing right at times. The good news is that cameras, including those on smartphones, can now shoot in Burst Mode.
Burst Mode allows you to continuously take photos as long as your finger is on the shutter. You won't have to worry about timing and missing the perfect action shot this way.
Try Panning: To achieve a successful panning shot, simply follow your subject from left to right or vice versa while using a slow shutter speed. In most cases, a shutter speed of 1/30th or 1/15th of a second is sufficient to blur the background.
Of course, the shutter speed you choose is entirely dependent on the amount of light in the scene. To maintain a well-exposed image, increase your settings as the light level increases.
Try Various Angles: Action shots do not always have to be at eye level. Experiment with different perspectives to add drama to your images.
For example, low-angle shots can make people appear larger and more heroic. Get down on the ground, point your camera up, and begin shooting!
Well, these are some practices that can help you achieve a great moving shot on your smartphone. Try working on these tips and share your results in the comment section!
Here's an interesting video on 360 degree horizon level stabilization that explains how you can capture objects in motion in a more defined and cinematic way on the vivo X80 series.
Hope you found these tips useful!
