GoodBye to The Vivo Y11 with Vivo X100 Pro

The Vivo Y11, now 8 years old, was my mom's phone—and what a journey it had. It survived over 7 hard drops, ran PUBG for more than 3 hours straight on many days, and even helped me learn photography. After years of loyal service, its hardware is finally aging—especially the motherboard, which now causes extremely slow charging. Since my mom now uses my previous phone, the Y11 has been quietly resting in my laptop table drawer.

Yesterday, when I saw it again, I felt inspired to make a short tribute video to honor its 8 years of solid performance. The video is currently in post-production. (Just 7-8 sec clip)

To light the video scenes gently, I used a simple trick: I set another phone screen to display a plain white image at full brightness and used it as a soft light source. This gave me a clean, diffused white light that worked perfectly for shooting the video. I also took 5 photos of the Y11 under different lighting angle and stacked them together to create the final image you're seeing.

Thank you, Vivo Y11. You've been through a lot, and the journey we shared will always be memorable.

Stacked the photos in mobile app (Star Trails)
