Hey VIVO fam,

How're you doing? On Wednesday, 23 July, I got an amazing opportunity to attend the grand launch event of the brand-new VIVO X200 FE (Fan Edition) & VIVO X Fold5 smartphones, at a luxurious event hosted in the banquet of Taj Taal Kutir, Rajarhat, Kolkata.

THE EVENT

Hosted by team @vivo India, co-ordinated by Vivo Trailblazer @MdRockz(Mehedi da), the gracious event saw the footfall of 15 handpicked Vivoicers & Vivo fans, who were invited to witness the crazy reveal of the new heartthrobs in the smartphone market.

As the Vivo community members gathered the event venue around 6 pm, we were baffled by the enormous set being prepared ahead of the mega launch, both inside and outside the hall.

As the fan registration began, the fans were handed elaborate goodies as a token of appreciation from the brand. Also, there were live photo booths, with printouts handed to each attendee immediately after posing.

THE COMMUNITY

The community members, albeit meeting each other for the first time, bonded with each other pretty soon, as we came to know some interesting facts such as some of the fans attending the event from as far as the Sundarbans, some 130 kilometres away from Kolkata. There were fans who were working professionals, again there were college students too - so it was a great mix. The camaraderie among the fans felt like the stepping stone of a definitive Vivo Kolkata Fan Community that we would like to have here, with the leadership of @MdRockzda.

Soon, we entered the hall, as an amazing set of events unfurled in front of our eyes, leading to the moment the VIVO X200 FE & X Fold5 5 were unveiled for the attendees to have an exclusive experience at the Fan Zone:-

• Welcome note by RJ Ayantika

• Introductory notes by Bhaskar Sengupta, VIVO West Bengal DGM & Manish Khosla, Khosla Electronics Director

• A photography compilation on VIVO X200 FE done in famous tourist spots of West Bengal such as Gangani, Santiniketan, Darjeeling, North Kolkata, Purulia; presented by actor Tota Roy Chowdhury on AV

• Surprise distribution of pre-ordered VIVO X200 FE devices to customers by actress Koyel Mullick

 • A daring dance performance by a troop revered at Dance India Dance reality show

• The specs reveal of VIVO X200 FE & X Fold 5 devices

• A social media mentorship session by a renowned tech influencer 

• Live performance by singer Snigdhajit

• Group picture of Vivoicers upon the stage

THE HANDS-ON

It was finally time to get an exclusive hands-on experience of the features of the new devices, but as a VIVO X200 user myself, I was focused on testing the different photography modes on the X200 FE device. Here goes my 85mm portrait clicked on this device, bearing a triple rear camera setup of 50MP Main Camera with OIS, 50MP Telephoto Periscope Camera with 3X Optical Zoom and 8MP Ultra Wide Angle Camera; along with a 50MP Front Camera:-

FINAL THOUGHTS

As a proud VIVO X200 user, it was absolutely a special evening I spent watching the unleashing of the X200 FE & X Fold 5 devices, al.ong with my new mates from the VIVO West Bengal community. Most importantly, the major chunk of this event was hosted in Bengali language, which was a welcome move for an event hosted in Kolkata, especially rare in the tech domain, which made it so connecting experience for all the attendees there.
